100% from Te Muna valley Martinborough. Aged in French oak for 10months
Light bright yellow. Sliced apples, pears, lemond rind and honeysuckle come through the nose and palate. Medium to full bodied with a creamy and crunchy finish. Itense acidity and minerality like a solid Chablis.

An excellent bouquet of fruit and creaminess, scents of vanilla and brazil-nut, peach and pomaceous fruits. A layer of wood spice, fine lees and clay mineral add complexity and detail. A dry, fuller-bodied expression with medium+ acidity, core fruit flavours that reflect the nose and judicious placement of wood spice and flavours. Nicely complex, balanced and well made with best drinking from day of purchase through mid 2029.

Dry style and delicate Rosé made out of 100% Pinot Noir from Te Muna Valley. Whole bunch pressed with no time on skin which gives this bright and light pink colour. On the nose, fruity and juicy, with cherry, white peach and watermelon flavours with a hint of lemon zest.
On the palate crispy, dry and mouth watering. Well balanced acidity that gives the wine its freshness and keeps it alive !

Very pale , very shiny, very aromatic. A bouquet and palate of fresh red pear and apple, a whisper of red berry fruit s and a distinctive layer of stone mineral ideas. Dry, satin texture with a core of fruit and plenty of acidity, a wine ready for summer drinking and through 2027.

100% Pinot Noir from Te Muna valley Martinborough
10 months in aged French barrel.
Bright red with violet reflections. Elegant notes of dark cherry, blackberry, violet and rose, followed by balsamic.
Light to medium body, well-integrated tannin long and persistent on the palate. Good acidity due to an early harvest keeps the freshness of the wine.

“Ruby. A layer of savoury reduction blows off to reveal dusty black fruit with plum, cherry and a stalky herbal edge. Very restrained today, but quite stylish. Balanced towards the chalky, chewy and mineral with a cooler edge and some crunchier red/black fruit. Blackcurrant and bay leaf. Slightly rigid structure and a long, tannin-led palate of fruit, spice and crushed rock. Crunchy, chalky but light-weight with some depth and lively balance”. Stephen Wong

A wine that develops and unfolds slowly in the glass. I tasted this example over a few days to understand better its potential for cellaring, which is solid. Flavours of plums and barrel spices, a mix of cherry and black currant and most importantly the mineral signature of fine stones and clay. On the palate these flavours continue and with a tautness and complexity from tannins and acid line this wine presents well and will continue to develop if cellared well. A fairly lengthy finish with persistent flavours and mouthfeel. Best drinking from 2025 through 2030+.

A standout small producer crafting balanced, expressive wines. The Rosé is dry and vibrant, the Chardonnay shows finesse with stone fruit and saline minerality, and the Pinot Noir is elegant with classic cherry and spice. We love featuring these seasonal gems on our list at Karahui Wine Bar & Restaurant.
