A New Chapter for Pond Paddock Vineyard in Te Muna

Pond Paddock Vineyard in Te Muna, Martinborough, is entering an exciting new chapter, with winemaker Harvey Masters taking over the management of the vineyard.

After more than a decade of dedication, hard work and passion poured into these vines, we're incredibly happy to see Pond Paddock Vineyard continue its journey in good hands.

For Simone, who has spent over ten years caring for this special piece of land in Te Muna, the thought of leaving the vineyard without finding the right person to take it forward was never an easy one. The vines, the land and the years of work behind them deserved someone who shared that same passion.

When Harvey Masters approached Simone, everything fell into place.

Meet Harvey Masters: A New Generation of Winemaking Talent

Harvey began his winemaking journey in New Zealand's Wairarapa wine region, managing Lime Hill Vineyard in Masterton.

Since then, his passion for viticulture and winemaking has taken him overseas. In 2025, he worked a harvest in Italy, gaining hands-on experience in European winemaking. He's currently in Burgundy (Bourgogne), France, spending several months working among the vines and making wine in one of the world's most renowned wine regions.

His experience across New Zealand and Europe brings a fresh perspective to his next adventure at Pond Paddock Vineyard.
